Taika Watiti cradles Child Yoda in Father’s Day tribute

The genius director that’s Taika Waititi, who introduced us JoJo Rabbit, Thor: Ragnarok, What We Do within the Shadows and the eighth and closing episode of The Mandalorian’s first season, has posted a tribute to the Star Wars present’s breakout star as a part of Father’s Day celebrations.

“Comfortable Father’s Day. Love my children,” Waititi posted Sunday on Instagram, with a gem of an image capturing a behind-the-scenes second of him cradling Child Yoda.

Waititi, wanting like he is staring thoughtfully into house, gently helps the puppet that does not appear like a puppet. Child Yoda turned a cultural icon inside his first look on the Disney Plus present, inspiring memes, toys and … songs.
