SpaceX explains the modern Crew Dragon spacesuits worn by NASA astronauts

The SpaceX spacesuits designed for Crew Dragon astronauts look so much totally different from the same old NASA fits which were in service for years. SpaceX shared an inside have a look at the spacesuit design in a video launched Monday that provides some perception into one of the seen components of the Crew Dragon mission.  

The spacesuits function a modern, streamlined design and have a symbiotic relationship with the seats within the Crew Dragon spacecraft. They hook up by way of an “umbilical” that connects the astronauts to every little thing from communications to air for respiration. 

Chris Trigg, spacesuits and crew gear supervisor, mentioned SpaceX prioritized ease of use for the fits, “one thing the crew simply has to actually plug in after they sit down after which the swimsuit type of takes care of itself from there.”
